Dr Valerio De Rossi is a Master Mariner with over thirty-five years of experience across maritime operations, offshore command, and marine governance.

He has served in command at sea and subsequently in senior executive and board-level roles within international offshore and maritime organisations. His professional background combines operational command experience with executive oversight of marine assurance, regulatory compliance, insurance strategy, and contractual risk allocation.

He holds a Doctorate in Professional Studies, an LL.M. in Maritime Law (Distinction), and an MSc in Marine Operations. He is a Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (FIMarEST), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and a Supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA).
